Your missions as a Site Reliability Engineer!

 

You will focus on understanding requirements, designing and deploying solutions using Google Cloud and, as a key member of our engineering practice solve tough problems and ensure success in designing and building complex world-class applications on public cloud.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our application infrastructure.

 

Your missions are :

  • Design the infrastructure architecture with a security focus, integrating the necessary tools from the start.
  • Design high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup, and retention architectures on the Google platform, using native options and specific third-party tools.
  • Assist development teams in building and deploying microservices-based applications in the public cloud, with a focus on security best practices.
  • Implement operational automation using scripts.
  • Translate proof of concepts (POCs) into production-grade code with appropriate guardrails and reviews.
  • Continuously update GCP platform skills and remain proactively aware of new products and services being introduced.
  • Implement best practices and solutions to enhance interaction between developers and the system.
  • Create and update our internal documentation.

 

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with any Cloud Platform, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux platforms, including command line and shell scripting.
  • Experience with containers, scaling, automation, App Engine, Kubernetes, and analytics tools.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and microservices architecture-based application design is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and automation tools like Jenkins and Ansible is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts and strong skills in compute, storage, networking, IAM, VPC, firewall rules, load balancing, Cloud Deployment Manager, logging, and monitoring.

Your salary package consists of:

You work full time, Monday to Friday and with one day of teleworking per week.

The position is based in Lisbon (city center) – Portugal. This is a permanent contract.
